Betanews.com is reporting that its own "source close to RIM" has confirmed that a recent research note suggesting that RIM is getting ready to release a tablet device is not far from the truth.

Betanews.com's source confirms that the device will come with a 7-inch display, a 1GHz Marvell processor, and dual-cameras. It also adds that it will support Flash and pack a hardware-based Flash accelerator.

Past rumours suggest that RIM is looking to have this tablet device on the street in time for the holiday shopping season.
