Mobile in Canada has found evidence that the iPhone will soon be landing in Canada. A Molson promotional website called www.deviseetcompte.com running in Quebec is showing an Apple iPhone as one of the prizes.
A Molson customer support representative confirmed that this the prize is indeed a Rogers iPhone. Although the lucky winner will get their hands on the iPhone in January, it will only be activated when Rogers officially announces it in Canada.
Further digging into the terms and conditions shows that the iPhone will be only available starting from January 2008 on the "Rogers" network. The total value of the prize is listed as CAD$800.
Hopefully Rogers will make the announcement soon. And that better not be the price in Canada especially given that we can expect to be shackled to a three-year contract when we buy one.
